Where players get stuck in Hollow Lantern
Hollow Lantern doesn't hold your hand, which is part of its charm, but a few puzzles bring people to a halt. I'll keep these vague enough to avoid spoiling the mood.
The lighthouse sequence trips a lot of players because the answer isn't in the lighthouse at all. If you're stuck, go back and look at what you photographed earlier — the game plants clues rooms away from where you need them.
The music box puzzle is about listening, not looking. Turn your sound up. The order you need is played to you, quietly, and it's easy to miss if you're rushing through the dialogue.
And the final door: don't overthink it. People assume it needs an item they haven't found, but everything you need is already in your possession. The trick is remembering something the game told you near the start.
